One of Britain’s fastest growing metering and utility network construction businesses has moved to a new operational centre in Sheffield, committing to a substantial increase in office and warehouse space to meet growing customer demand for its energy services.

Energy Assets Group is relocating its regional hub from Parkway Rise to a new site in Ecclesfield in north east Sheffield, providing much improved warehouse facilities, high quality accommodation for over 50 members of staff and better motorway access for engineers.

The new 20,000 sq ft building will support the company’s expansion plans across the country, with dedicated customer meeting areas, training rooms and hot desk facilities for group personnel. There are also plans to add a further 10,000 sq ft of warehouse space on the site in 2019 to keep pace with growth.

“This move is a reflection both of our current business success and our strategic plans for the future,” said Colin Lynch, Energy Assets Chief Executive Officer. “The increase in our footprint will offer significant operational benefits to our meter engineers and utility network designers, which in turn will translate into better service for our customers.

“We have also selected a site with potential for further expansion in line with the anticipated expansion of both our meter installation and asset management business stream, and our multi-modal network design operations.”
