South East winners announced in the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2011

For the second year running Drallim Industries Limited has been announced as the winner of the EEF South East Region Business Growth Award, sponsored by Westfield Health, in a ceremony held at Mercedes Benz World in Surrey.

The St Leonards-on-Sea based engineering and equipment systems manufacturer, which serves the aerospace, industrial and utilities markets, won the award for maintaining consistent growth in a very difficult economic climate.

The annual awards are hosted by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, and recognise excellence in enterprise, innovation, environmental performance and skills development among UK manufacturers.

Jim Davison, South East Region Director for EEF, commented: “Manufacturing in the South East is now so important as an economic driver for the UK with over 45,000 manufacturing businesses contributing £45billion to the UK economy.  Companies like Drallim Industries are leading the way by engaging all their staff in the business, leveraging existing skill sets and being agile enough to change to market conditions. Congratulations to them on winning for a second year running; a remarkable achievement.”
