South East winners announced in the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2011

Jablite Limited has been announced as the winner of the EEF South East Region Climate Change Opportunity Award, sponsored by ENER-G, in a ceremony held at Mercedes Benz World in Surrey.

The Belvedere based manufacturer of insulation products won the award for developing new insulation products that not only stop heat escaping from a building, but capture the heat and re-direct it back into the building. Carbon emissions can be reduced by up to 38% from homes where the new systems are installed.

The annual awards are hosted by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, and recognise excellence in enterprise, innovation, environmental performance and skills development among UK manufacturers.

Jim Davison, South East Region Director for EEF, commented: “Manufacturing in the South East is now so important as an economic driver for the UK with over 45,000 manufacturing businesses contributing £45billion to the UK economy.  Companies like Jablite Limited are leading the way by creating such great products that reduce energy use and are now repositioning themselves as specialist suppliers of new and innovative insulation systems. Congratulations to them on winning this award.”
