SSI Schaefer's Automation Day Hailed a Success
SSI Schaefer’s annual Automation Day was yet again a big success – taking place in Liverpool, it showcased the leading capabilities of Schaefer within the field of automation in today’s fast moving logistics market, with particular emphasis on the retail industry.
The event, represented by over 70 representatives from some of the country’s largest and well-known retailers, went without hiccups thanks to a combined effort in planning and onsite support provided by Harvest Events and the SSI Schaefer team.
Working closely alongside the marketing team at SSI Schaefer, Harvest worked extensively in the build up to the event, ensuring that each stage of the event was planned and executed to the highest level – focusing on the attention to detail, which all too often is overlooked.
It was the responsibility of Harvest to set up the hotel conference room before the main event, running through speaker presentations, loading usb sticks for delegate packs, organising the room layout and styling the room for maximum effect with the use of backdrops, graphic panels, lighting and products. Working closely with the onsite AV team was critical in ensuring the presentations and background music went off without any hitches.
Managing the reception desk and acting as one of the main hosts for the day, Harvest also organised a coach to ferry passengers back and forth to the second part of the event – a behind the scenes tour round the world class storage and distribution facility of TJ Morris, the UK’s fastest growing discount retailer, that is now fully automated thanks to SSI Schaefer.
Managing the media liaison, Harvest gained a significant level of press coverage, magazine and online, following the event in a number of SSI Schaefer’s key industry journals.
